Art I Have Loved, the popular secondary market exhibition and sale held every other year at Lee Hansley Gallery, opens Feb 11 with a public reception from 2-5 p.m.  It will run through March 31.
The show and sale dates back 24 years and is one of the most popular events at the gallery.  This marks the first year it will be in the new Dock 1053 space at Atlantic Avenue and Whitaker Mill Road.

Collectors from across the state and beyond have consigned works to be resold.  Works by such well known North Carolina artists as Edith London, Silvia Heyden, George Bireline, Gregory Ivy, Anne Hill, Mary Leath Thomas, Margaret Crawford, Mary Anne K. Jenkins, Elaine Reed, among many others, will be offered for sale.

Also included with be works by nationally known artists like Josef Albers, Robert Mangold, Harold Altman, Peter Agostini amd J.J. Audubon. 

Gallery owner Lee Hansley stole and expanded the idea of Art I Have Loved from a one-time event by the same name held at SECCA during his tenure there.  The show was named by the late Carolyn Dance of Winston-Salem, a friend of Hansley.
