One of our favorite things about the art scene in Wilmington NC is the layout of the city itself. Most of downtown is gridded with short walkable blocks allowing art patrons the ability to park their car and walk to many of the galleries. Even those that are just out of walking distance are a short drive away. The variety of Wilmington NC art galleries provide art lovers a mountain of choices to choose from. Whether you’re looking for galleries that are traditionally run with beautiful artworks and rotating exhibits, or galleries that showcase social issues and installations, or galleries that have dozens of artist studios within them, you can find them all in Wilmington.
