Olmsted Plein Air Invitational 2017 UPDATES

The Olmsted Plein Air Invitational - the top southeast Plein Air event and one of the top Georgia art events is on the art calendar for early April.  Bringing together top national plein air artists, this event is a perfect art venue to bring together art collectors who appreciate top landscape paintings and cityscape paintings.

Celebrate with us because the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational has been granted its non-profit status, and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Awards Judges of the Highest Caliber!

This year we can’t get over our good luck!  All three esteemed Awards Judges that we asked have agreed to come to Atlanta to award the Olmsted Trophy and the cash prizes, including those for Paint Quick. Alphabetically, our Awards Judges are: Impressionist collector, philanthropist and industry titan Dan Amos of Aflac, Inc.; renowned Montana landscape painter Clyde Aspevig; and celebrated plein air painter and author West Fraser.

Petite Plein Air

This year, we launch a new competition, the Petite Plein Air, consisting entirely of smaller paintings (8 x 10 inches). These will be displayed in the Artists Village on Saturday, April 8. The invited Master Artists will vote to select the favorite in the Artists’ Choice competition.

The Petite Plein Air winner will be announced on Sunday, April 9 and the Petite Plein Air paintings will be for sale in the Olmsted Linear Park (or in case of inclement weather, in the Druid Hills Golf Club along with the other paintings) on Sunday, April 9 from 10-2 p.m. and subsequently on the Olmsted Plein Air website.
