Anne Bradford was born in England, grew up in Canada, then immigrated to the US with her family when she was 13.

As a child Anne's first passion was drawing, and at 14, she painted small oils of dancers, horses, flowers, and imaginary scenes of street cafes. After high school, Anne ventured into NYC with a copywriting, layout and design portfolio. For several years she worked in advertising, graphic and multimedia design while occasionally taking classes in illustration, photography, serigraphs and life drawing in independent  workshops while painting abstracts.

After 12 years in NYC, Anne moved to San Diego and started a new group of paintings. The "San Diego Series" was inspired by the local flora there. Anne spent hours roaming the botanical gardens, parks, canyons, and gardens to photograph amazing agaves, yuccas and succulents. She combined images of those plants with images of the Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in Balboa Park which was influenced by the Spanish-Moorish architecture of the Iberian Peninsula and Spanish colonial sites. Many of these paintings are now in corporate and private collections in San Diego, Coronado, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and Santa Rosa, California.

In 1999, Anne moved to Healdsburg, California, 63 miles north of the Golden Gate. There, in the middle of wine and horse country, Anne's inspiration came from the Russian River, the vineyards and country lanes. She painted landscapes, river scenes and introduced an equestrian series.

In 2011, Anne moved to Charleston, SC to be closer to family. Soon after arriving, Anne exhibited in the Wells Gallery, in downtown Charleston and The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island. In 2013, her work was exhibited at the 2013 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition at the Millhouse and shortly afterward, at The Art Center of Greenwood, SC, in the 3rd Annual Art of the Hunt.
