Palmer, Mark

Mark Palmer a Buffalo, N.Y.native began his art career in the mid 80's while living in Washington, D.C. After 2 decades, he abandoned his cosmopolitan life and moved to Paducah, KY where he helped pioneer the resurgence of a historic, blighted neighborhood called "Lowertown" into a thriving art community. He purchased a 5000 sq. ft. pre-civil war bldg and had it renovated into his commercial gallery, artist retreat and personal living space.

Palmer work spans from watercolors to vast mixed media. Former Washington post art critic Jessica Dawson wrote "Mark Palmer's works on paper may be small-many just a few inches across but they crackle with energy".

Palmer's works hang in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe.
