Western Art in the Southeast
The opening of Cimarron Sky Gallery in November of 2015 introduces both the art patron and casual art observer to the uniquely rich heritage that is American Western Art. And does so in Charlotte, NC, a key geographic locale that has not otherwise been associated with this art form. As established in the Eastern part of the United States, our gallery will instruct, inform, and inspire existing as well as new aficionados of American Western Art.
Cimarron Sky Gallery makes accessible the very best in American Western Art by the very best interpreters of this art form, both physically at the gallery and online.
We will augment the experience of viewing American Western Art at the Gallery by providing historical subtext to the art, and presenting special exhibits, live performances, film, educational programs, a lending library, social gatherings, and more.
By introducing American Western Art to the East in a comfortable, intimate, sophisticated setting, it is our desire to not only enhance our patrons’ lives with stirring paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture, but to enhance Charlotte’s cultural standing as an emerging center for the arts.
The spectacle and grandeur of the intrepid Cowboy, heroic Native American, colorful flora and captivating fauna, majestic mountain peaks, and bucolic valley rivers will, for the first time, be presented to an eager and appreciative audience right here in Charlotte. At Cimarron Sky Gallery.
Our location is in the Charlotte business and recreational area of South End off West Tremont Avenue, with impressive growth continually chronicled by the local media. Enviably set in this up-and-coming art and dining district, we look forward to your visiting and experiencing our Adventure with the American West.
